'American Idol': Jacob Lusk Stays Out of Trouble, Lauren Alaina Keeps Climbing

Still mourning Pia Toscano's untimely exit from "American Idol"? Well, I'm sorry to say that tonight's show won't help you get over the Celine Dion-esque singer from Queens. The top 8 tackled songs from the movies on Tuesday's performance episode, and let's just say that if the majority of them were ever hired to make a soundtrack, they'd flunk with flying colors.

Much to mentor Jimmy Iovine's dismay, only a smattering of contestants, especially Lauren Alaina and Stefano Langone, made good selections, while others may have just bought themselves a ticket home (we're looking at you, Casey Abrams and Haley Reinhart). Who came out on top? Let's roll the tape!

1) Jacob Lusk

Song: Simon & Garfunkel, "Bridge over Troubled Water"
Steven said: ""How much of you you put into a song is phenomenal. It's astounding to me how angelic you sing' God bless you, man. And your voice."

Jennifer said: "You're such a gifted vocalist. Seriously. But it's just not that. It comes from a another place. It comes from the place it's supposed to come from."

Randy said: "What happens to me when you sing is I believe you. A great singer just takes every word and it comes out so special."

We say: On one of the most mediocre performance nights this season, it's no surprise that Jacob Lusk dominated the competition -- especially now that his powerhouse partner in crime Pia is out of the picture (see what I did there?). Jacob wisely took Jimmy Iovine's advice and changed his song to "Bridge Over Troubled Water," then wowed with a performance that was restrained and emotive in all the right places. He's still over-the-top, sure, but it doesn't feel like an act anymore. Even I, who have never claimed membership to the Team Jacob fan club ("Twilight" notwithstanding) -- was highly impressed; dare I say, moved? That might be a stretch for my jaded little "Idol" heart, but for now let's say Jacob is back on top after a very rough last week. Bless his mirror-shunning heart!

2) James Durbin

Song: Sammy Hagar, "Heavy Metal"
Steven said: "Outstanding, Durbin -- you just had to get that out didn't you?"

Jennifer said: "That felt really, really real. I don't know what these performances are sounding like at home, but here, they are killing it dead!"

Randy said: "You guys were just at a James Durbin concert' hopefully America will bring metal back because I can see you onstage with Avenged Sevenfold and Ozzy at the next Ozzfest."

We say: Unlike Jacob, James Durbin did NOT take Jimmy Iovine's advice. I agreed that somewhere out there, there's a better song for him to sing, but ultimately it didn't matter, because James got all the bells and whistles needed to to earn the night's pimp spot, and deliver on it. Bells: strobe lights. Whistles: veteran metal guitarist Zakk Wylde, who just boosted Durbin's rock 'n' roll credibility big time. After James went introspective with last week, it was refreshing to see this no-holds-barred performance.

4) Scotty McCreery

Song: George Strait, "Cross My Heart"
Steven said: "You're the voice of America."
Jennifer said: "Everybody wants us to be tough with you guys, but the truth is you all are so damn good!" [laughs uncontrollably]

Randy said: "America, look at this guy right here. A star is born on this stage."

We say: As a proud member of Team Scotty, I was sorely disappointed when he switched his song from "Talkin'" to George Strait's "Cross My Heart." The former would've been really unexpected, and the brief snippet that we heard behind the scenes sounded like it could have killed in front of a live audience -- potentially even worth a long overdue pimp spot! This George Strait song, while beautiful, is probably unfamiliar to many "Idol" viewers who are not country fans. Despite my and Jimmy's quibbles, Scotty again showed growth -- no, seriously, I think he's going through post-voice change puberty before our eyes -- and probably earned respect from his core fans for sticking to his guns. For that, I salute him.

Kim Kardashian Reveals Future Wedding Plans

Kim Kardashian Reveals Future Wedding PlansAlthough they’ve been dating for only five months, Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries have quickly fallen head over heels in love! “Kris just gets me,” the reality star told Life & Style at the April 4 launch party for Unbreakable, the unisex fragrance from her sister Khloé and Khloé’s husband, Lamar Odom.
In fact, the couple are already talking engagement rings, wedding plans — and even what they’ll name their children! “I want Lorraine to design me a big diamond ring,” Kim gushed to friend Brittny Gastineau at the Beverly Hills Nail Design on April 10. Kim was describing the engagement ring she wants jewelry designer Lorraine Schwartz, her longtime pal, to create for her! A friend tells Life & Style, “Her idol is Elizabeth Taylor, who was a good friend of Lorraine’s, so she wants to take inspiration from one of Elizabeth’s prized possessions: her famous cushion-cut Krupp diamond. Kim’s been talking to Lorraine about it a lot lately.”
And Kim tells Life & Style that she’s fantasized about her wedding ever since she was a little girl. “I’ve envisioned the whole thing,” Kim tells Life & Style. “I can’t wait to get married. I’ve found my wedding dress — I mean, I already know what my gown is going to look like. I’ve thought about it all for so long. What woman hasn’t thought about her wedding since she was a little girl?” Kim plans to take a trip to Paris to shop for a Chanel couture wedding gown, the friend reveals to Life & Style. Her dream dress? “She wants a white strapless floor-length gown that’s traditional but sexy and makes her feel like a princess,” says the pal.
Kris and Kim — who both come from families in which the kids’ names all begin with the letter K — have already discussed what they’re going to name their children. “I think I’ll name my kids with K’s to keep the tradition going,” Kim says. She even has a favorite name picked out for a baby boy, the friend reveals: Kristopher Jr., named after the man she plans to marry. “I want a big family,” Kim told Life & Style at the Unbreakable event. “Three to five kids!”

Latest Hot : Steven Tyler Promises Tales of 'Debauchery, Sex & Drugs' in New Memoir

Aerosmith rocker Steven Tyler will publish his memoirs worldwide on May 3, promising to share "all the unexpurgated, brain-jangling tales of debauchery, sex & drugs, transcendence & chemical dependence you will ever want to hear."

His book, "Does the Noise in My Head Bother You?," comes out at a time when the 63-year-old singer's job as a judge on TV show "American Idol" is winning him new, younger fans who may not be familiar with his sordid past.
It will be published by News Corp's HarperCollins, the firm said on Tuesday.

Tyler previously wrote about his life in the 1997 memoir "Walk This Way," on which he and his bandmates collaborated with Steven Davis. Tyler worked on his book with David Dalton.

In the last 14 years, Tyler has split with his second wife, been to rehab clinics, undergone throat surgery, disclosed that he has Hepatitis C, and endured a nasty public feud with his bandmates. His first wife also died in that time, he became a grandfather, and Aerosmith was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

His book will be "the unbridled truth, the in-your-face, up-close and prodigious tale of Steven Tyler straight from the horse's lips," he said.

Tyler, who was born Steven Victor Tallarico in Yonkers, New York, in 1948, rose to fame in the early '70s when Aerosmith broke through as America's answer to the Rolling Stones. Indeed the perpetually amped Tyler and laconic guitarist Joe Perry fashioned themselves on Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, respectively, earning the moniker the Toxic Twins.

With hits such as "Dream On," "Walk This Way" and "Back in the Saddle," the band sold out arenas everywhere. But the wheels fell off by the late '70s as drugs took over. Perry and fellow guitarist Brad Whitford quit for a few years, and Aerosmith became another sad rock 'n' roll casualty.

But by the mid-1980s, with a new manager on board who forced them to go to rehab, Aerosmith started an unlikely comeback, helped by popular MTV videos and a resurgence in the popularity of hard rock.

But the last decade has been tough on the band, which has struggled to record a follow-up to its last album of original material, 2001's "Just Push Play." Long-time fans worried that Aerosmith was singing too many ballads, and were dismayed when their hard-living heroes played a Super Bowl half-time show with fresh-faced boy band 'N Sync.

Internal tensions boiled over in 2009 when Tyler fell off the stage during a concert and his frustrated bandmates threatened to hire a new singer to replace him. Tyler hired a separate management team and barely communicated with the other members while he made his own plans for life outside the band.

But the filial bonds appear to have grown back, and the band has slowly been working on a new album, while Tyler shares his spirited opinion on "American Idol," the top-rated show in the United States.

Young Jeezy Is 'Ballin' with Lil Wayne on New Single: Listen

As Young Jeezy fans await the release of his long-delayed fourth full-length, "TM 103," the rapper has issued the album's next single. "Ballin'," featuring Lil Wayne, was unleashed online today (April 12) and boasts hard-hitting verses from the rap veterans.

"I'm ballin' hard, I need a jersey on/So much bread on me, I could buy a Jersey home!" the Snowman seethes over the sizzling beat from Lil Lody. Lil Wayne arrives nearly three minutes into the track, and while his verse doesn't stand up to Kanye West's Auto-Tuned beauty on Jeezy's "Put On," Weezy utilizes some clever wordplay on the track. "So many colors in the diamonds/Kaleidoscope," he boasts at one point.

"Ballin'" follows a trio of previously released tracks expected to show up on Young Jeezy's follow-up to 2008's "The Recession": "Lose My Mind" with Plies, "Jizzle" with Lil Jon and "All White Everything" with Yo Gotti. While "TM 103" still lacks a release date, Young Jeezy has stayed busy by signing Indiana rapper Freddie Gibbs to his CTE Records imprint.

Justin Bieber Pestered by Paparazzi in Israel

Can a teen idol get a break from the paparazzi when he visits holy sites?

Evidently not, as Justin Bieber is finding out on his visit to Israel, where he is scheduled to play a concert in Tel Aviv on Thursday.

The Canadian pop star sent out a series of angry Twitter messages on Tuesday, complaining that aggressive photographers had forced him to spend the rest of his trip holed up in his hotel room.

"You would think paparazzi would have some respect in holy places," wrote 17 year-old Bieber, who is a practicing Christian. "All I wanted was the chance to walk where jesus did here in isreal (sic)."

Justin Bieber 'Sorry' for Giving Middle Finger to Paparazzi

"They should be ashamed of themselves. Take pictures of me eating but not in a place of prayer, ridiculous ... People wait their whole lives for opportunities like this, why would they want to take that experience away from someone ... Staying in the hotel for the rest of the week u happy?"

According to the London-based Jewish Chronicle, Bieber was scheduled to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and tour the Dead Sea, Masada and Caesarea.

After his concert at Hayarkon Park in the bustling city, he will likely face another round of paparazzi when he begins an Asian-Pacific swing in Malaysia on April 21.

Beyonce Working on Music Video for New Single: Report

While Beyonce's camp is remaining mum on the progress of her forthcoming fourth album, the pop star is rumored to be releasing the disc in June -- and was reportedly shooting a music video for its first single in New Jersey last week.

According to a report by Ace Showbiz, Beyonce is working with director Francis Lawrence (Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance," Destiny's Child's "Emotion") on the music video for an uptempo track titled "Girl." The singer is rumored to be working with 200 African dancers as well as eight choreographers for the clip.

Billboard Bits: New Beyonce Album Coming in June?

Fan site Beyonce Daily has also posted a collection of blurry photos that were reportedly taken at the video shoot. In the snapshots, Beyonce can be seen sporting a white outfit and a faux-hawk as camera equipment is set up behind her. Meanwhile, Italian designer Roberto Cavalli posted a picture of Beyonce in a blue jumpsuit on his Twitter earlier this month, with the caption, "Beyoncé Knowles in her Roberto Cavalli outfit to shoot the first #video for her new album!"

One week after Beyonce announced that her father, Mathew Knowles, would no longer be acting as her manager, a source at Sony Music Australia revealed that the singer's follow-up to 2008's "I Am.. Sasha Fierce" has been targeted for a June release. According to Sony Music Australia head Denis Handlin, who has heard six songs from the new album, Beyonce has "gone to another level" with her new material.

Alicia Keys to Toast 'Songs in A Minor' Anniversary with Deluxe Release, Concert

Time indeed flies: 10 years have passed since the release of Alicia Keys' multi-platinum debut album, "Songs in A Minor." To celebrate that milestone, the Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter/producer will release deluxe and collector's editions of her breakthrough album June 28 on J Records/Legacy Recordings. Capping the anniversary releases: an intimate Keys concert for fans at New York City's Beacon Theatre on June 30.

In a statement, Keys notes, "It's incredibly surreal for me to be celebrating the 10th anniversary of 'Songs in A Minor.' This album is possibly the most precious to me. I'm so proud the songs are still being enjoyed, and I'm crazy excited to share songs never heard before."

The three-disc collector's and two-disc deluxe editions will include previously unreleased and original bonus material, ranging from "A Woman's Worth" remix featuring Nas and the "Ali" soundtrack version of "Fallin'" to such unreleased tracks as "Typewriter," "If I Was Your Woman" (Original Funky Demo version) and "Butterflyz (The Drumline Mix)." Both editions will also feature special packaging and an enhanced booklet with new liner notes by Keys. Also among the collector's edition extras is a specially created documentary featuring new interviews with Keys and other album collaborators (watch the trailer above).

For the first time, a vinyl version of the original album will also be made available.

Initially released June 2001, "Songs in A Minor" gave Keys her first hit single with "Fallin'" (No. 1 for six weeks on the Hot 100) and first chart-topping album (No. 1 for three weeks on the Billboard 200). She also won the first five of her 14 total Grammy Awards, including best new artist, best song of the year for "Fallin'" and best R&B album. To date, "Songs in A Minor" has sold 6.2 million in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Tickets for Keys' celebratory concert at the Beacon Theatre, "Piano & I: A One Night Only Event With Alicia Keys," will go on sale May 6 via Ticketmaster. Accompanied only by her piano, the singer will perform the entire "Songs in A Minor" album as well as other hits garnered during her career. Prior to that, Keys will perform on the BET Awards June 26. The cable network will also broadcast an hour-long special about Keys and "Songs in A Minor" in late June.

Hot Chelle Rae – Tonight Tonight Lyrics

Hot Chelle Rae – Tonight Tonight Lyrics

It’s been a really really messed up week
Seven days of torture, seven days of bitter
And my girlfriend went and cheated on me
She’s a California dime but it’s time for me to quit her

La la la, whatever, la la la, it doesn’t matter, la la la, oh well, la la la

We’re going at it tonight tonight
There’s a party on the rooftop top of the world
Tonight tonight and were dancing on the edge of the Hollywood sign
I don’t know if I’ll make it but watch how good I’ll fake it
Its all right, all right, tonight, tonight

I woke up with a strange tattoo
Not sure how I got it, not a dollar in my pocket
And it kinda looks just like you
Mixed with Zach Galifianakis

La la la, whatever, la la la, it doesn’t matter, la la la, oh well, la la la

We’re going at it tonight tonight
There’s a party on the rooftop top of the world
Tonight tonight and were dancing on the edge of the Hollywood sign
I don’t know if I’ll make it but watch how good I’ll fake it
Its all right, all right, tonight, tonight

You got me singing like
Woah, come on, ohh, it doesn’t matter, woah, everybody now, ohh

Just don’t stop let’s keep the beat pumpin’
Keep the beat up, lets drop the beat down
It’s my party dance if I want to
We can get crazy let it all out

Just don’t stop let’s keep the beat pumpin’
Keep the beat up, lets drop the beat down
It’s my party dance if I want to
We can get crazy let it all out

Its you and me and were runnin this town
And its me and you and were shakin the ground
And ain’t nobody gonna tell us to go cause this is our show
[Hot Chelle Rae - Tonight Tonight Lyrics on http://lyricslike.blogspot.com]

Everybody
Woah, come on, ohh, all you animals
Woah, let me hear you now, ohh

Tonight tonight there’s a party on the rooftop top of the world
Tonight tonight and were dancing on the edge of the Hollywood sign
I don’t know if I’ll make it but watch how good I’ll fake it
Its all right, all right, tonight, tonight
Its all right, all right, tonight, tonight
Yeah its all right, all right, tonight, tonight

Just singing like
Woah, come on, ohh, all you party people
Woah, all you singletons, ohh, even the white kids

Just don’t stop lets keep the beat pumpin’
Keep the beat up, lets drop the beat down
Its my party dance if I want to
We can get crazy let it all out

Just don’t stop lets keep the beat pumpin’
Keep the beat up, lets drop the beat down
Its my party dance if I want to
We can get crazy let it all out

Lyric The Road Between – Lisa Marie Presley

Lyric Song The Road Between: Out on the road between nowhere and hell I caught a glimpse of my reflection in you But they can t believe I still want you around Hung on the line between addiction and I can t believe you said I hurt you again But I can t afford to let you get away And I cannot take the darkness when you stay You re all I see And it s definitely my fault You re all I see But don t come near me at all How many roads between your world and mine How many broken doors and how many fights I changed my furniture to make you go away I m still overwhelmed at how much space you take You re all I see And it s definitely my fault You re all I see But don t come near me at all And I can t have you right now And I can t get it right now And I can t have you right now And I can t get it right now You re all I see And it s definitely my fault You re all I see But don t come near me at all This is definitely my fault Hung on the line between addiction and I can t believe you said I hurt you again

Lyric When We Was Fab – George Harrison

Lyric Song When We Was Fab: Back then long time ago when grass was green
Woke up in a daze
Arrived like stangers in the night
Fab long time ago when we was fab
Fab back when income tax was all we had

Caresses fleeced you in the morning light
Casualties at dawn
And we did it all
Fab long time ago when we was fab
Fab you are my world you are my only love

And while you re in this world
The fuzz gonna come and claim you
But you mo better wise
When the buzz gonna come and take you away
Take you away
Take you away

The microscopes that magnified the tears
Studied warts and all
Still the life flows on and on
Fab long time ago when we was fab
Fab but It s All Over Now Baby Blue
Fab long time ago when we was fab
Fab like this pullover you sent to me

Fab
And You ve Really Got A Hold Me
fab long time ago when we was fab

Lady Gaga Releasing 'Judas' Single on April 19

One week after "Born This Way" ended its six-week run atop the Hot 100, Lady Gaga has announced that her next single, "Judas," will be arriving on April 19. The pop star shares the release date of the second single from sophomore album "Born This Way" and announces, "Let the cultural baptism begin," in the latest installment of her Gagavision video series, released today (April 6).

In Gagavision No. 41, Gaga takes fans behind the scenes as she gets her makeup done, argues with a religious fanatic and shows off some new dance moves. The video ends with the text, "Judas April 19th -- If they were not who were taught that they would be, would you still believe?"

Lady Gaga Leads MTV's O Music Award Nominations

Last month, Lady Gaga previewed the lyrics to "Judas" when she posted on Twitter, ""I'm just a Holy Fool, oh baby he's so cruel, but I'm still in love with Judas, Baby." The singer also revealed on Sunday that she is co-directing the "Judas" video with Laurieann Gibson, calling the experience "the most exciting artistic moment of my career."

While the "Judas" launch is less than two weeks away, fans are still getting their fill of "Born This Way," which clocks in at No. 4 on the current Hot 100, before its parent album is released on May 23. Yesterday, Gaga announced that the "Country Road Version" of "Born This Way" has been released to iTunes, and that part of its proceeds will benefit the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN).

Glasvegas album Euphoric Heartbreak is 'back to basics'

Glasvegas frontman James Allan has said his problems with drugs and depression have helped him write the band's new album.

James Allan took time out in September 2009 when he didn't attend the Mercury Prize awards for which they were nominated.

"I'm really glad it did happen. It's one of those things that help towards making the album," said Allan.

He blamed the band's "intense" touring schedule for his personal problems.

He said the busy touring schedule, surrounding their self-titled debut album, also led to exhaustion: "It was quite intense and it did get quite unhealthy.

"Passion is such a tightrope and there are fine lines. Sometimes it spills over the brim."
Band 'troubles'

Now the band are back with new album Euphoric///Heartbreak\\\ which came out this week (4 April).

The Glasgow four-piece, who recruited new drummer Jonna Löfgren following Caroline McKay's departure in March 2010, recorded the album in Los Angeles.

"You realise when you come to make the next album you're not as important as you thought you were," said James Allan.

"You're forced to go back to the start and ask yourself what the reasons were for being in the band.

"Look in the mirror and have a good look at yourself. I had to sort myself out and realise I wasn't important as I thought I was."

For now James Allan is focused on remaining grounded.

"[I'm] Trying to avoid disillusionment, trying to hang onto inspiration and hope and the boys and their happiness.

"It's just one day at a time. Cherish the moment. You don't know how you're gonna feel in the morning.

"Sometimes it's just fingers crossed and hope for the best."

Glasvegas have also been added to the line-up for this year's iTunes festival in London.

They'll play the Roundhouse in Camden on 10 July.

The Holloways had a hit in 2007 with Generator, which made it to number 14 in the singles chart.

They released two albums, debut So This is Great Britain? in 2006 and No Smoke, No Mirrors in 2009.

On average U2's 360° Tour packs out 63,000 people each show, taking $6.4 million (£3.9 million) according to Billboard Boxscore.

The final date is 30 July 2011 at the Magnetic Music Hill Musical Festival in Moncton, Canada. Arcade Fire will be the support act.

Before that, they will headline the Friday night of this year's Glastonbury festival on 24 June.

It will be the band's debut at Worthy Farm in Pilton, Somerset.

Their 2010 show was cancelled because lead singer Bono injured his back.

Adele continues album chart reign

Adele has held on to the top spot in the UK album chart for the 11th week with her album 21, according to The Official Charts Company.

Last week, the singer broke the record for the longest time at number one in the UK album chart by a female solo artist.

The previous record was held by Madonna's first greatest hits record, The Immaculate Collection, in 1990.

Her debut album, 19, moved down one place to number three.

The album has also now set a record for the most downloaded album to date on Amazon.co.uk, overtaking previous record-holder The Circus from Take That.

Roger Greensmith, of Amazon, said: "Adele's success, particularly following her Brit Awards performance in February, has been phenomenal.

"2011 is already shaping up to be Adele's year with 21 achieving so much and her previous album 19 is also flying high in the Amazon MP3 download charts as our second most-downloaded album of the year."

Adele's Make You Feel My Love moved up one spot in the singles chart to number 39, marking its 53rd week in the top 40.

Katy B's new album On A Mission entered the chart at number two.

Scottish indie rockers Glasvegas entered the album chart at number 10 with Euphoric Heartbreak.

In the singles chart, Jennifer Lopez stayed at number one with On The Floor, which samples Kaoma's 1989 single Lambada and features rapper Pit Bull.

LMFAO's Party Rock Anthem moved up one place to number two.

Katy Perry's ET, featuring Kanye West, jumped from number 12 to number five.

===============================================
Call back the cap-com,
Tick off the time-bomb,
Let felicity fly!
Armour the airlock,
Blanket the bedrock,
And kiss the planet goodbye!

Dear God, I was terribly lost,
When the galaxies crossed,
And the Sun went dark.
Dear God, You’re the only North Star,
I would follow this far.

Fight back the flight deck,
Bring on the breakneck,
Cue the solar eclipse!
Summit the sunset,
Dubtail the dragnet,
And blow your backbone to bits!

Dear God, I was terribly lost,
When the galaxies crossed,
And the Sun went dark.

Dear God, You’re the only North Star,
I would follow this far.

Oh telescope, keep an eye on my only hope,
Lest I blink and be swept off the narrow road.
Hercules, you’ve got nothing to say to me,
‘Cause you’re not the blinding light that I need.

For He is the saving grace of the Galaxies!
He is the saving grace of the Galaxies.
