Justin Bieber Pestered by Paparazzi in Israel

Can a teen idol get a break from the paparazzi when he visits holy sites?

Evidently not, as Justin Bieber is finding out on his visit to Israel, where he is scheduled to play a concert in Tel Aviv on Thursday.

The Canadian pop star sent out a series of angry Twitter messages on Tuesday, complaining that aggressive photographers had forced him to spend the rest of his trip holed up in his hotel room.

"You would think paparazzi would have some respect in holy places," wrote 17 year-old Bieber, who is a practicing Christian. "All I wanted was the chance to walk where jesus did here in isreal (sic)."

Justin Bieber 'Sorry' for Giving Middle Finger to Paparazzi

"They should be ashamed of themselves. Take pictures of me eating but not in a place of prayer, ridiculous ... People wait their whole lives for opportunities like this, why would they want to take that experience away from someone ... Staying in the hotel for the rest of the week u happy?"

According to the London-based Jewish Chronicle, Bieber was scheduled to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and tour the Dead Sea, Masada and Caesarea.

After his concert at Hayarkon Park in the bustling city, he will likely face another round of paparazzi when he begins an Asian-Pacific swing in Malaysia on April 21.

Lady Gaga Releasing 'Judas' Single on April 19

One week after "Born This Way" ended its six-week run atop the Hot 100, Lady Gaga has announced that her next single, "Judas," will be arriving on April 19. The pop star shares the release date of the second single from sophomore album "Born This Way" and announces, "Let the cultural baptism begin," in the latest installment of her Gagavision video series, released today (April 6).

In Gagavision No. 41, Gaga takes fans behind the scenes as she gets her makeup done, argues with a religious fanatic and shows off some new dance moves. The video ends with the text, "Judas April 19th -- If they were not who were taught that they would be, would you still believe?"

Lady Gaga Leads MTV's O Music Award Nominations

Last month, Lady Gaga previewed the lyrics to "Judas" when she posted on Twitter, ""I'm just a Holy Fool, oh baby he's so cruel, but I'm still in love with Judas, Baby." The singer also revealed on Sunday that she is co-directing the "Judas" video with Laurieann Gibson, calling the experience "the most exciting artistic moment of my career."

While the "Judas" launch is less than two weeks away, fans are still getting their fill of "Born This Way," which clocks in at No. 4 on the current Hot 100, before its parent album is released on May 23. Yesterday, Gaga announced that the "Country Road Version" of "Born This Way" has been released to iTunes, and that part of its proceeds will benefit the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN).

Lady Gaga's 'Judas' video under fire from religious groups

The video for Lady Gaga's new single 'Judas' has already been criticised by angry religious groups - despite the fact they haven’t seen it.

The singer is set to appear as Biblical character Mary Magdalene in the video, with actor Norman Reedus taking the role of Judas, reports The Sun.

Earlier this week, Gaga posted a teaser clip titled 'Gagavision No. 14', which includes an encounter with a Christian protester picketing one of her live shows.

The clip, which implies that full video will be unveiled on April 19, ends with the words: "'Judas' is coming. Let the cultural baptism begin."

The video hasn't gone down well with The Catholic League For Religious And Civil Rights, which claimed it is a stunt timed to coincide with its forthcoming Easter celebrations.

President Bill Donahue commented: "People have real talent, and then there is Lady Gaga. I find Gaga to be increasingly irrelevant.

"Is this the only way to jet up her performance? This isn't random, we are getting closer to holy week and Easter."

Last month, Lady Gaga's previous single 'Born This Way' was censored in Malaysia over its pro-gay lyrics.

The single has been edited on Malaysian radio to remove lyrics breaking the country's rules on promoting homosexuality.
